I've seen a copy of this same photo and date with the notation "Council Bluffs, IA" on it. I can't verify its accuracy however. This locomotive now sits in the museum at Kirkwood, MO, having been donated by the UP after a number of years as their GE locomotive training platform. The long hood has been removed and innards exposed/cut-away for UP shop forces training.
