A Sight from the Past  Contributor's Pick!       
One of many semaphore signals installed on the original California to Oregon mainline, the SP Siskiyou Line, in 1907 before the opening of the Cascade Line in 1926 dried up traffic but one of the very few that lasted until 2007. This had been the Northern-most pair on the line for at least a decade, located less than 5 miles from Springfield Junction (the Cascade Line junction).
