| Sitting on the east side of the north/south Michigan City branch of the Monon Railroad is the Wanatah depot. At this point of its life since being built around 1899, the depot has become a "forgotten" moment. The Monon was merged into the Louisville & Nashville in 1971 so the depot started its slide through the various CSX predecessors at this point.
