| 6.22.1985. SOU FP7 3497 providing assisting power for the Southern 4501 steam locomotive on the Broad River Limited excursion. This trip began in Charlotte, followed the "R" line to Columbia, SC, then to Spartanburg over the "W" line, then returned to Charlotte on the mainline that runs between Atlanta and Washington, D.C. This was shot during a back-up move to prepare for a photo runby at a remote spot named Ogden, just south of Rock Hill, SC. My 7 year old nephew, Jonathan, joined me for the trip. |
