| Somewhat spattered by steam exhaust stains, this 2-8-2 Mikado was originally built by Alco-Schenectady in March of 1919 as CM&StP 8674. It was later renumbered in 1938 to MILW 312. The loco was retired in April of 1955 after nearly 35 years of service. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 331,335 lb and tractive effort of 74,469 with booster. This is a Guhr photo. |
