MILW 2-6-6-2 #54 - Chicago, Milwaukee, St Paul & Pacific         
Built by Alco-Schenectady in December of 1910 as MILW #5021, the compound Mallet Mogul carried the unique "cobra-hooded" Coffin type feedwater heater in front. The loco was renumbered in 1912 to #9512, simplified in August of 1929 with the new number #9304 and finally renumbered MILW #54 in 1938. The loco was retired in April of 1953 after 43 years of service. Simplified specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, four 21 1/2x30" cylinders, engine weight of 390,300 lb and tractive effort of 82,720 lb.
