David Abeles General 1973, or 1953? You decide :-) 1/9/2007 11:07:42 AM
Steve E General 73, don't think UP was using strobes in the 50's 7/17/2007 6:17:17 PM
Tony Fernandez General This unit received a turbo-charger at EMD in May 1959, boosting its horsepower from 1750 hp to 2000 hp. Some publications refer to units so converted as a GP9u. 11/29/2007 1:51:43 AM
Ron Moraca General Wow!! What a fabulous photo, Greg!! It has a very stark kind of beauty to it. 3/14/2009 1:55:20 PM
Mark Evans General Medicine Bow is still worth a visit ...Saw a rerouted Amtrak CZ go thru there in 2009...The Depot is still 'intact' -museum- and the Virginian Hotel is a cool old place to eat drink, and hang out....The turbo-modified GP-9's were also nicknamed "Omaha Geeps" I find GP-9B's addicting...Fine Shot 12/30/2010 3:52:00 PM
David Stewart General d*mn, i just can't see these little GP9s running out there across Wy where the it's now the land of GEVOs and SD70Ms... great shot! I real looker! 3/3/2012 8:00:21 AM
