"Train Master Tribute," Page 31, 1973
Here is page four of a 16-page cover article by J. David Ingles entitled "Train Master Tribute: A 20-Year-Old In Twilight." It was published originally in the August 1973 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 31. Shown here is Allan J. Brewster's "see-through" illustration of Southern Pacific Railroad engine #3028, an H-22-66 Train Master built by Fairbanks-Morse in December of 1953 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. Notable here is a key to the locomotive's major components, provided at the lower right.
