DMIR 2-8-8-4 #227 - Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range         
One of the most massive steam locomotives in the Lake Superior RR Museum is this DMIR 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone type steam loco #227. Built by Baldwin in 1941, it is one of the largest and most powerful steam locomotives ever to run the rails.
