Here is a photo via Joseph Lavelle that was taken at Union Station in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on 28 July 1927. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9562, a B-8 (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata as Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad number "36" in October of 1911, renumbered PRR "9562" in September of 1920, and retired in August of 1948 after 37 years of faithful service. Note the Engineman inspecting the locomotive's driving wheels. Williams Collection. |
