Russian Decapod
At the request of the Czarist Russian government, ALCO built around a thousand of these light weight Decapods during WWI. Around 800 had been delivered before the Bolshevik revolution when deliveries ceased, leaving 200+ engines in the US. The USRA took them and distributed them to various railroads. Six examples still survive today, with Frisco 1630 at IRM being the "live one".
