UP 0-6-0 #4432 - Union Pacific         
A crossing guard clears the way for Union Pacific 0-6-0 #4432 to cross a street in Grand Island, Nebraska sometime in the 1930's. Built by Baldwin in March of 1918 (serial #48029), UP 4432 served for nearly 29 years before being "vacated" in December of 1947. Specs - class S-5, 51" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, modest 156,000 lb, modest tractive effort of 34,400 lb. An unknown photographer caught the action shot. No exact date was given for the photo so an approximate was used.
