| Next to the Canadian Pacific right of way stands a monument to the location of the last spike driven into the tie completing the transcontinental railroad in Canada. The last spike was driven in by CPR financier Donald Smith on November 7, 1885. The photo was taken by an unknown photographer on the 100th year anniversary of the event. |
