FPH 402 is 1 of 4 400 class railmotors built by the New South Wales Goverment Railways at the Eveleigh Carriage Workshops in 1938. FPH 402 along with CT 501 trailer car were purchased for preservation by The Railmotor Society in 1984, with 402 being leased to State Rail for Country Net Radio testing. In the last couple of years a mount has been put on the roof to support a pantograph for overhead wiring testing in the Sydney electrifed network. |
