| When the line was out of service from 1996-2014, the ungated C&NW-era crossing signals still stood here, gradually falling apart. The signal that was once where the one in this picture stands was knocked over by a vehicle sometime prior to 2006, and never replaced until the line was rehabbed at which time the other signal was removed and both replaced with temporary crossbucks. These modern gated signals were installed a year or two later. The "EXEMPT" signage remains due to the crossing's proximity to the intersection with Syene Road, a 4-way stop. |
