PC 4301, E8A, 1968
Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken at the Passenger Station in Crestline, Ohio, in 1968. Shown here is Penn Central engine #4301, an E8A built by GM-EMD for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "5801" in June of 1952, rated at 2,250 horsepower, and renumbered "4301" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Looks to me like there are more Train Crew members here than there are passengers! (Gift from Brad Mann.)
