CB&Q 9938A and Sister with Empire Builder in 1964  Contributor's Pick!
Having just crossed the St. Croix River into Wisconsin from Minnesota, CB&Q 9938A leads the Empire Builder past the Prescott station. It has about 400 miles to go to get to Chicago. The two Es look anxious for the speed run down the River. Note the reflection on side of 9938A.

Tim Huemmer General Cool photo. Somehow, this engine ended up as IC 100 and still powers their biz train. I saw it a couple of years ago at the masters in Augusta 12/2/2006 3:48:11 PM
Gregg Pullano General I just saw this unit as IC 100 yesterday, pulling CN's Michigan Santa train. I had no idea it used to be this! 12/18/2006 10:57:23 PM

Robert Anderson General What a shot. No32 doing it's thing. I can hear the squealing flanges now. This was one sharp curve before the new lift bridge. Would that be a 1964 Centennial sticker peeling off the nose to left of hearald? 3/3/2018 5:00:40 PM
