| Seemingly opened up for all to see its workings is this Fairbanks Morse H-15-44 loco built in December of 1948 as MON #37 (serial #L1199). renumbered in February of 1949 and re-engineered by EMD in 1960. In May of 1970 before the merger into the L&N in 1972, this loco was sold to Industrial Maintenance Service and scrapped. No information accompanied the photo except a margin date stamd pf March, 1969, which seems appropriate as the loco looks like it was on a scrap line. |
