Portraits 2. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via Paul W. Prescott that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, on 7 May 1939. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3876, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during June of 1923 and retired in April of 1950 after 27 years of faithful service. In this context, it's got its "elephant ears" on and is ready to fly with "The Golden Arrow." (#35 of 36)
