Portraits 2. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via F.R. Kern that was taken in Rochester, Pennsylvania, c. 1929. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #672, a D-16SB "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops as a D-16B during September of 1903, rebuilt as a D-16SB in November of 1915, and retired in November of 1932 after 29 years of faithful service.
