|Wallin. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Richard R. Wallin that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, during May of 1953. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5865 and two more units whose numbers are not recorded. All are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5865 was constructed during February of 1948. This A-B-A set is pulling a mail and express train down the Allegheny Mountains and around the Curve en route to Altoona and points East.
