Norfolk & Western Y6a 2-8-8-2 at the National Museum of Transportation at St. Louis, MO. This is a compound articulated meaning the front cylinders are larger and use the steam exhausted from the higher pressure rear cylinders. But they could also run all cylinders high pressure for starting but would switch to compound at around 5 mph.
