MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6969, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. In this context, it's pulling a mixed-cargo freight train to the East Altoona Receiving Yard. ("Stoneborobranch"; #7 of 56)
