PRR 6969, M-1, 1957         
MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 4 May 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6969, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. It's passing through the Duncannon Passenger Station with a fully-loaded mineral train out of Altoona on its way to eastern consumer markets. ("Stoneborobranch"; #39 of 56)
