PRR 6743, M-1A, 1956         
MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken near Perdix, Pennsylvania, on 25 March 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6743, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during July of 1930 and retired in February of 1956 after 26 years of faithful service. It's passing BANKS Tower with a fully-loaded mineral train on its way to the Enola Yards. ("Stoneborobranch"; #15 of 56)
