PRR 8572, ES-15M, 1956
MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken near Lewistown, Pennsylvania, on 31 December 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8572, an ES-15M built by GM-EMD in September of 1953 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. In this context, it's doing everyday shifting tasks in the Lewistown Yard. ("Stoneborobranch"; #34 of 56)
