PRR 9820, EF-15A, 1959         
Extra Board. Here is an image that was taken near Columbus, Ohio, following a head-on collision during 1959. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9820, along with three other units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #9820 is an EF-15A built in May of 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower; it was later repaired and survived into the Penn Central era as number "1520." The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
