FSF. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in September of 1959. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8678 and #8657. Both are AS-18AM's built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 1,800 horsepower each. #8678 was built in April of 1958 while #8657 was constructed in December of 1957. Visible in the background are the cattle pens for feeding and resting animals in transit. Not visible next to the Crew Shack at the right is SOUTH Tower. Photo taken from the 4th Street Footbridge. The exact date is not recorded.
