| Recently-repainted New Orleans Public Service car 928 was parked at CANAL STATION displaying a DESIRE route sign, even though that car line had been replaced by buses six months earlier, on 29 May 1948! The 928 had been built by the Perley A. Thomas Car Works in 1924 and was scrapped in May 1964. |
