Southern NW2 6050
Southern Railway NW2 6050 was tied up at SLIP JUNCTION in the New Orleans suburb of Chalmette. This location got its name because the railroad’s CHALMETTE SLIP was nearby on the Mississippi River. The locomotive had been built in December 1941 and spent most of its life in the New Orleans area. It was renumbered 1076 at New Orleans in December 1972 and retired in 1977.
