A Pair of MP's
Missouri Paciifc GP15-1 #1590 and MP caboose #13903 sit in a St Louis yard waiting for orders. The Muny overhead girder bridge stands behind them. Larry R. Stiles caught the moment on this color slide.

Tom Beckett General Equally good is the Missouri Pacific lettered GP 15-1. There were not many units so lettered-the SD 50's and C36's were-this was apparently due to some legal issue about ownership and leasing. That's a good catch, too. The funny thing is, there are still some of these cabooses here and there around the system, working as "shoving platforms" in places where there are a lot of reverse moves. Pryor OK, on the ex MKT, ironically, is one of them, where there is an ex MP buggy assigned to the job that works Mid America Industrial Park there. 6/26/2020 3:18:51 AM
