| Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Vineyard, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1954. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9558 and two more "EF" Class units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9558 is an EF-15 built September of 1948 and retired in December of 1963 after just 15 years of revenue service. ("Tchowee"; #19 of 39) |
