SLSF 4-6-2 #1000 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)         
Caught with a head of steam at the 19th Street yard in Kansas City, MO, is the first 4-6-2 Pacific on the Frisco roster and one of the very first in North America. Built by Alco-Brooks in February of 1904, this loco served over 40+ years. Specs - serial #28690, class 1000, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 193,550 lb, tractive effort of 25,623 lb. Truman Boyd photo
