Austin & Northwestern station  Contributor's Pick!
This "station" is a revival of a one time station that existed in the town. The original station was built in 1892 to serve the Austin & Northwestern RR, which has the distinction of carrying the granite used to construct the state capitol building in Austin. It burned in 1961. The current building houses the local visitor center, and was built in 2006.
