| Somewhat confusing background on this loco. It appears that it was built by Motive Power Industries of Boise, ID in May of 1998 as their demonstrator #2002, serial #2396-02. It must have been sold to the NOPB afterward. No date or photographer was listed for this nice color slide unfortunately so an approximate date based on loco condition and paint was used. |
