PRR 4-6-2 #5698         
This was one of 2 experimental Pacifics built for the Pennsylvania to test various components. #5698 was the product of the PRR's own Juniata Shops in April of 1929. Specs - K-5 class, piston valves, Walschaert valve gear and a one piece, cast steel frame, 80" drivers, 250 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, eingine weight of 327,560 lb, tractive effort of 54,675 lb.#5698 was dropped from the roster in October, 1952. No location, date or photographer was listed for this photo.
