"Pennsy Steam Engines Will Be Sent To Museums," Page 16, 1968         
Here is page two of a five-page camera study entitled "Pennsy Steam Engines Will Be Sent To Museums." It was published originally in the July 1968 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 16. Top Left-Hand Photo Caption: "No. 7688 (H-10), one of three PRR 2-8-0's now at Northumberland, the others being 1187 (H-3) and 2846 (H-6sb)." Engine #7688 is an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Lima Locomotive Works in September of 1915. Top Right-Hand Photo Caption: "No. 94, a 4-wheel switcher, class A-5s, with 8-wheel tender." Engine #94 is an A-5S (0-4-0) switcher built in Juniata in January of 1917. Bottom Photo Caption: "Locos shown above are stored indoors, as are 2-8-2 No. 520 and 4-4-2 No. 460, the 'Lindbergh Special' engine." Engine #520 is an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in December of 1916 and retired in August of 1957. And engine #460 is an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata in August of 1914. All of these locomotives are presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
