Here is page 17 of the April 1946 issue of "Trains" magazine. It's the fourth page of a ten-page story by Mr. Edwin P. Alexander entitled "Beginnings of a Railroad." Top Photo: Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, during the American Civil War. Technical Correction: "On September 17, 1850, the line was opened to the Mountain House, a mile [west] of Hollidaysburg, where connection was made with the state-owned New Portage Railroad [at New Portage Junction ~ aka 'the Wye Switches' ~ in Duncansville] on October 1."
