| Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by John Pickett that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, on the morning of 13 October 1955. Shown here is a pair of unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives that were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as BP-60's for passenger service and rated at 3,000 horsepower each, and later regeared for freight service and reclassified as BH-50's rated at 2,500 horsepower each. These semi-permanently coupled "Centipedes" are rounding the Curve on their way down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona for yet another helper/pusher run up "The Mountain."
