Ah, a LIRR MP 54. Those cars were later painted first in a two tone gray-the Tichy scheme-then a darker gray, and renumbered into the 4000 series, so this would have been 4149 by the 1950's. They were a bit bouncy to ride on. Aside: GG 1 926 was last in service in that awful red/blue/silver "circus" scheme. I don't know if it's been repainted since its retirement.
