L&N 4-6-2 233         
It's almost 5:15 p.m. and Louisville & Nashville K4 Pacific 233 is ready to pull out of the train shed at the railroad’s Canal Street Station with No. 12 - the commuter train to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The 233 was built at the L&N's South Louisville Shops in 1915 and retired on 16 October 1951. The train was officially dieselized - with FP7A's - on 27 July 1951 and all L&N passenger trains moved to New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on 16 April 1954. Nos. 9 and 12 made their last run on 6 May 1964. (approximate date)
