| A CN local switches Wisconsin Building Supply, 222 N. Lilas Dr., via former C&NW rails at Appleton, WI on 16 Dec. '18. The roof of one of the lumber sheds is partially visible above the 3rd and 4th covered hoppers. Local was picking up an empty centerbeam flatcar, being coupled to the 5th covered hopper. The east end of the Marketplace Shopping Center, 2700 W. College Ave., can be seen at left. This portion is currently vacant, since WG&R Furniture moved to their new facility at the intersection of W. Wisconsin Ave. and Hwy. 41. |
