Theyre everywhere  Contributor's Pick!
Years ago, if you wanted to see G&W power, you had to go to western New York, where the original operation had a small fleet of Alcos they used to run salt trains from the mine in Retsof. Over the years, they became a much larger operation, a holding company with short and regional lines all over. While on the way to Tehachapi, I saw this train rolling through Bakersfield, and was able to get a shot. The day before, I had seen one in Visalia, not too far away.
