Santa Fe Depot  Contributor's Pick!
This depot was last used for passengers in 1979, when Amtrak discontinued the Lone Star. In 1989, it was about to be demolished, but a local group purchased it and saved it. In bad shape, it was fixed up beginning in 1991 and reopened as a museum in 1993. Now, it is 113 years old, as it was built in 1905! Nice to see a wooden station survive that long!
