| Despite what the model badge says on the side of BN5478, it is a U30B. Built as CB&Q GE U28B #148 in 11/1966 it was quickly upgraded by GE to a 3000 h.p. U30B specification in 1967. The Milwaukee among others also had U28B upgraded in this manner. |
