| This cab is on static display at Springfield, SC. The paved area in front (to the right) of the cab is the former Southern rail line that ran through Springfield and later abandoned. This line originally ran from Columbia, SC to Hardeeville, SC. The line was cut back terminating at Furman, SC in the 1960s. It remained in service this way until the late 1980s when it was abandoned to a point south of Columbia, SC. |
