Sadness or euphoria  Contributor's Pick!
NYSW had some interesting power through the years, though sometimes it was not all that attractive. When it was painted in yellowjacket, it looked sharp. There were also periods where it looked pretty sad, patch painted and mismatched. Today its sadness and not euphoria, as an ex SP tunnel motor in a multicolor patch paint job leads a pair of ex Cartier big Alcos, still mostly in their old scheme. Theres also a glimpse of F 45 3636, in yellowjacket, and definitely in a state of euphoria, as its running. This is SU 99 arriving from Jersey. The tunnel motor would soon get the yellow and black the NYSW is famous for; the Alcos would get sold to WNY&P before they ever got close to a paint booth, and 3636 would eventually become a hangar queen and go to scrap.
