PRR 4644, I-1SA, 1960         
East Altoona. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 February 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4644, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during October of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in January of 1943, and retired in February of 1960 after 37 years of faithful service. Note that the letters of the word "Pennsylvania" on the tender have been painted over. Produced and distributed by Charly's Slides.
