Kern. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Red Bank, New Jersey, on 27 August 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1139, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in 1956 after 39 years of faithful service.
