PRR 9801, EF-15A, 1954         
Kern. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1954. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9801 and three more "EF" Class units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9801 is an EF-15A built in March of 1951. They are about to pass through the Tyrone Passenger Station on their way to Enola and points East.
